माउंट आबू राजस्थान का एकमात्र हिल स्टेशन है । जो कि अरावली पर्वत श्रंखला के सर्वाधिक ऊंचे पठार पर स्थित है

माउन्ट आबू अपनी ठंडी और शांत वातावरण के लिए राजस्थान के पर्यटकों की पहली पसंद हैं

माउंट आबू के पठार से देखने पर यहां के पहाड़ों एवं मैदानी क्षेत्रों की हरियाली पर्यटकों का मन मोह लेती है एवं यहां के अन्य पर्यटक स्थल भी पर्यटकों को बेहद आकर्षित करते हैं

माउन्ट आबू में अवस्थित ऐतिहासिक  दिलवाड़ा जैन मंदिर, नक्की झील नौकायान के लिए , सनसेट पॉइंट, एवं हनीमून पॉइंट  लोकप्रिय है यही कारण है कि यह  राज्य का सबसे लोकप्रिय पर्यटन स्थलों में से एक है।

माउन्ट आबू के महत्वपूर्ण ऐतिहासिक पर्यटक स्थल:- 

✓ नक्की झील :-

 यह राजस्थान की सबसे ऊंचाई पर अवस्थित झील है।   यह झील आबू पर्वत की सबसे मनमोहक झील  है।

 कहा जाता है कि इस को देवताओं ने अपने नाखूनों से खोदा था इसीलिए इसका नाम नक्की  झील पड़ा।

 जबकि ग्रामीणों की मान्यता है कि रसिया बालम नाम के व्यक्ति ने राजकुमारी से विवाह की शर्त पर इसे रातों-रात (एक ही  रात में)  खोदा था   

 इसका  कुछेक प्रमाण  देलवाड़ा जैन मंदिर के पीछे रसिया

बालम और कुंवारी कन्या (राजकुमारी) का मंदिर से मिलता है 

झील के किनारे पर्वतों में अनेकों गुफाएं हैं जिनमें से  राम झरोखा ,हाथी

गुफा, चम्बा गुफा प्रसिद्ध  हैं। 

तथा नक्की झील के पास  ही टॉड रॉक, सनसेट पॉइन्ट, रधुनाथ मंदिर एवं महाराजा जयपुर

पैलेस अवस्थित है। 

इसी झील के किनारे एक सुंदर मनमोहक गार्डन बना हुआ है 

इस पवित्र झील में 12 फरवरी, 1948 को महात्मा गाँधी की अस्थियां  विसर्जित कि गई थी। तथा यहाँ 'गाँधी घाट' बनवाया गया ।

✓ गुरू शिखर पर्वत :-

  अरावली पर्वत श्रृंखला का यह सर्वोच्च शिखर समुद्रतल से 1722 मीटर की ऊँचाई पर

अवस्थित है। यह राजस्थान का सबसे ऊंचा पर्वत है ।

गुरू  शिखर पर  विष्णु के अवतार गुरु दत्तात्रेय एवं शिव शंकर का मंदिर बना हुआ है। दूसरी चोटी पर दत्तात्रेय की माता का मंदिर भी बना है ।

✓अर्बुदा देवी मंदिर :-  माउन्ट आबू में अर्बुदा देवी का  ऐतिहासिक मंदिर है। मान्यता है कि इस देवी के दर्शन मात्र से शरीर के सभी अर्बुद(गांठें) ठीक हो जाती है ।

✓अंबा जी का मंदिर :- आबू रोड़ से कुछ दूरी पर  अंबाजी तीर्थ स्थल अवस्थित है । कहा जाता है कि अंबाजी के मंदिर में ही बालकाल्य में भगवान कृष्ण का मुंडन संस्कार हुआ था एवं श्री कृष्ण ने अंबाजी के मंदिर से ही रुक्मिणी का  हरण किया  था।

 ✓ वशिष्ठ और गौमुख आश्रम :- आबू में संगमरमर  से निर्मित गौमुख से निरन्तर जलधारा बहती  रहती है।  यहाँ वशिष्ठ का पुराना मंदिर है  मान्यता है वशिष्ठ जी ने यहां अग्नि हवन किया था जिसमें से क्षत्रियों का उद्भव हुआ ।

✓अच्लेश्वर महादेव मंदिर :-  नक्की झील से 10-15Km दूर अचलेश्वर महादेव का प्राचीन एवं विख्यात मंदिर

है। मंदिर में शिवलिंग अथवा शिव प्रतिमा नहीं है बल्कि शिवजी के अंगूठे की पूजा की जाती है ।

 

✓ दुग्ध/दूध बावड़ी :- अर्बुदा देवी के मंदिर के नीचे दूध बावड़ी नामक ऐतिहासिक स्थल  है 

मान्यता है कि प्राचीनकाल में यह बावड़ी दूध से भरी रहती थी और ऋषि और आश्रम के गण उसका उपभोग करते थे।

 

✓ टॉड रॉक  :-  नक्की झील के पश्चिम कि ओर एक  पर्वत पर एक ऐसा विशाल शिलाखण्ड है जिसकी आकृति

मेंढ़क जैसी है इस कारण इसे टॉड-रॉक कहते हैं।

 ✓ सनसेट पॉइंट (Sunset Point) :- नक्की झील के उत्तर-पश्चिम में  पहाड़ों के बीच ऐसा जगह है जहां से सूर्यास्त का दृश्य अत्यंत मनमोहक दिखाई देता है। डूबता सूर्य यहाँ से घूमते हुए लाल गोले सा नजर आता है जो धीरे-धीरे क्षितिज में लुप्त हो जाता है। इस आकर्षक दृश्य को देखने के लिए सैकड़ों पर्यटक प्रति संध्या यहाँ एकत्रित होते हैं।

✓हनिमून पॉइंट (Honey Moon Point) :-  माउन्ट आबू विवाहित जोड़ों के लिए एक हनीमून पॉइंट भी है ।

 सैकड़ों की तादाद में विवाहित जोड़े यहां आते हैं ।

  सनसेट प्वॉइंट के पास ही प्राकृतिक रूप से दो चट्टाने पास-पास खड़ी हैं, जो कि नव -

विवाहितों के लिए कौतूहल उत्पन्न करती है। इसी स्थल को Lover's rock  or Honeymoon Points कहा जाता है।

अन्य महत्वपूर्ण दर्शनीय स्थलों में प्रसिद्ध दिलवाड़ा जैन मंदिर, ,गौतम आश्रम आदि प्रसिद्ध है 

यदि कम शब्दों में कहा जाये तो माउन्ट आबू राजस्थान का कश्मीर है एवं तीर्थयात्रियों एवं पर्यटकों का सबसे पसंदीदा स्थान है 

भारत ही नहीं बल्कि दुनिया भर के देशी विदेशी पर्यटक यहां हजारों की तादाद में आते हैं और इस मनोरम दृश्यों का लुत्फ उठाते हैं।

Important Historical Tourist Places of Mount Abu:-

✓ Nakki Lake :-

It is the highest lake located in Rajasthan. This lake is the most beautiful lake in the Abu Mountains.

It is said that it was dug by the gods with their nails, hence the name Nakki Lake.

While the villagers believe that a person named Rasiya Balam had dug it overnight (in a single night) on the condition of marrying the princess.

There are many caves in the mountains on the banks of the lake, out of which Ram Jharokha, Elephant

A beautiful beautiful garden is built on the banks of this lake.

The ashes of Mahatma Gandhi were immersed in this holy lake on February 12, 1948. And here 'Gandhi Ghat' was built.

✓ Guru Shikhar Parvat :-

 This highest peak of the Aravalli mountain range is at an altitude of 1722 meters above sea level.

The temple of Guru Dattatreya and Shiva Shankar, an incarnation of Vishnu, is built on the Guru Shikhar. The temple of Dattatreya's mother is also built on the second peak.

✓ Arbuda Devi Temple:- 

There is a historical temple of Arbuda Devi in ​​Mount Abu. It is believed that all the tumors of the body are cured by the mere sight of this goddess.

✓ Vashishtha and Gaumukh Ashram:- 

A continuous stream of water flows from the Gaumukh made of marble in Abu. Here is the old temple of Vashisht. It is believed that Vashisht ji had performed fire here, from which the Kshatriyas originated.

✓ Achleshwar Mahadev Temple  :- 

 Ancient and famous temple of Achleshwar Mahadev 10-15Km away from Nakki Lake

Is. There is no Shivling or Shiva idol in the temple but the thumb of Shiva is worshipped.

✓ Milk / Milk stepwell:-

 Under the temple of Arbuda Devi, there is a historical place called Doodh stepwell.

It is believed that in ancient times, this stepwell was filled with milk and it was consumed by the sages and the members of the ashram.

✓ Toad Rock  :- 

On the west side of Nakki Lake, there is such a huge boulder on a mountain whose shape is

Because of its frog-like shape, it is called a toad-rock.

✓ Sunset Point :- 

In the north-west of Nakki Lake, there is such a place among the mountains from where the view of the sunset is very beautiful. The setting sun looks like a red sphere moving from here, which gradually disappears into the horizon. Hundreds of tourists gather here every evening to see this fascinating sight.

✓ Honey Moon Point:-

 Mount Abu is also a honeymoon point for married couples.

Hundreds of married couples come here.

There are naturally two rocks standing close to Sunset Point, which are newly-

Creates curiosity for married people. This place is called Lover's rock  or Honeymoon Points.

Other important places of interest include the famous Dilwara Jain Temple, Gautam Ashram etc.

If said in short words, Mount Abu is the Kashmir of Rajasthan and is the most favorite place of pilgrims and tourists.
